• Reports to Festival Director and Festival Coordinator
Responsibilities
  • Assist in corresponding with filmmakers
    • Ensure required materials have been sent in
    • Coordinate distribution of guest passes
  • Helps with logistics for the awards ceremony, film festival, and other Reel Sisters events
    • Duties may include scheduling transportation for honorees, creating the run of show, printing all guest lists, liaising with vendors and the host venue, conducting research on possible sponsors
  • Provides day of assistance at events
    • Helps with event set-up and strike
    • Possibly fill the role of talent handler or stagehand (to assist backstage during awards ceremony)
Qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Extremely organized
  • Experience with event planning and management preferred
  • Passionate about film
Position Details
  • Duration: July 15 to October 31
  • Hours: 10 – 15 hours per week
  • Pay: Unpaid, but course credit is available
  • Can work remotely or at the Reel Sisters office in Brooklyn
  • Must be available to attend weekly planning committee meetings and the film festival in October.
